Postdoctoral Fellow
University of Calgary, Canada
Dr. Mansour Poorebrahim is a postdoctoral associate in the Dr. Bahlis/Dr. Neri lab. He earned his PhD in Medical Biotechnology from Tehran University (Iran) and completed postdoctoral training at Karolinska Institutet (Sweden) and the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ, Germany) before joining the lab. His current research focuses on engineering next-generation CAR-T cells for multiple myeloma. As a lead scientist, he has contributed to the development of BCMA CAR-T cells armored with BclxL, now progressing toward clinical application. In a parallel project, he has developed TRAIL-armored BCMA CAR-T cells with enhanced antitumor activity, underscoring the potential of TRAIL signaling to improve CAR-T cell efficacy.
