Max Köppel (cand.med) is a medical student at the University Hospital of Würzburg, Germany, and a research member of the Waldschmidt group, focusing on translational myeloma research. In close collaboration with the Kortüm group, he conducts research on multiple myeloma, with a particular focus on clonal hematopoiesis (CHIP) mutations in patients undergoing CAR-T cell therapy. He is a recipient of the DGHO–José Carreras Scholarship for Medical Doctoral Research and was awarded a Young Investigator Award for this year’s IMS meeting in recognition of his ongoing work in the field of hematologic malignancies.
