Dr. Faezeh Borzooee earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University under Dr. Mani Larijani, following an MSc in Immunology and Infectious Disease from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her doctoral research mapped the effects of AID/APOBEC genome-editing enzymes on tumor antigens, providing insights into personalized cancer immunotherapy.
She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the BC Cancer Research Center’s Terry Fox Laboratory in Dr. Kuchenbauer and Dr. Rouhi’s lab, where she investigates the role of APOBEC3 enzymes in metabolic rewiring of multiple myeloma. Dr. Borzooee has received several prestigious awards, including the Michael Smith Postdoctoral Award, BHCRI Award, and President's Ph.D. Scholarship, Weyerhaeuser Fellowship, and multiple Dean’s Fellowships.
