Kevin Brigle, PhD, NP is an Oncology Nurse Practitioner in the Myeloma, MGUS and Amyloid clinic at the Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Dayton followed by a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Virginia Tech. While consulting on an NIH-funded grant in the School of Nursing, Dr. Brigle was inspired to enroll in the Adult Nurse Practitioner program at VCU and graduated in 1998. In his current position, Dr. Brigle manages patients with myeloma treated on both standard therapies and on clinical trials. Dr. Brigle has served as a member of the International Myeloma Foundation’s Nurse Leadership Board since 2015, working to improve the nursing- and self-care of patients with myeloma. In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Brigle has served as Adjunct Faculty in the School of Nursing and is an active presenter and educator to myeloma patient support groups and to the nurses that take care of them. He has authored or co-authored numerous publications, including book chapters, and articles for nursing journals and scientific publications.
