David Jung, BSc, is a PhD student at the Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute, University of Calgary. His research focuses on understanding the resistance mechanisms to T cell-based immunotherapies in multiple myeloma, with a particular interest in how NF-κB activating mutations contribute to immune evasion and resistance to T cell-based therapy. His work aims to characterize the functional impact of these mutations on T cell-based therapies.
Prior to his PhD, David completed his Bachelor of Science with Honours in Translational and Molecular Medicine at the University of Ottawa, where he developed an early interest in cancer biology and immunotherapy. Outside of the lab, David is an avid volunteer, a half-marathon runner, and an active community leader, serving in local community kitchens and engaging in various student-led outreach initiatives.
