Martin Kaiser is a Professor of Haematology at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) and a Haemato-oncology Consultant at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, with special interest in multiple myeloma and its precursor conditions. His research focuses on the molecular basis of myeloma, including drivers of high-risk dsiease, as well as molecular and imaging biomarkers in myeloma, with a view to personalisation of care and development of gentler, more efficacious treatments for patients with multiple myeloma. He also has a specific interest in drug regulatory policy and health technology assessment (HTA) and regularly works with the EMA and MHRA as an expert advisor. He is vice chair of the UKMRA, the UK national myeloma trial subgroup, and is actively involved in advocacy work aiming to improve patient access to diagnostics and therapy.
