Dr. Peter Voorhees is a Professor of Medicine at Atrium Health / Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Chief of the Plasma Cell Disorders Division of Atrium Health / Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte. He is the Medical Director of the Clinical Trials Office and an Assistant Director for Clinical Research at the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. His research is focused on the clinical development of novel therapeutic strategies for the treatment of multiple myeloma at all phases from smoldering to relapsed and refractory disease. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the International Multiple Myeloma Working Group, and the International Myeloma Society. He is a Vice Chair for the Alliance Multiple Myeloma Committee and a member of the National Cancer Institute’s Multiple Myeloma Steering Committee. He is a key opinion leader in the field of multiple myeloma and has presented and published extensively in the area.
