Dr Kyriakou had her Haematology training at UCLH in United Kingdom. She continued as the haemopoietic stem cell transplant fellow for 2 years, followed by the multiple myeloma clinical and research for PhD fellowship at UCLH. She completed her PhD at UCL with focus on Mesenchymal Stem Cell Homing and Mesenchymal stem cell transduction with anti-cancer genes in Myeloma and Lymphoma mouse models in 2005. She works as a Consultant Hematologist at UCLH with sub special interest on hematological malignancies mainly Multiple Myeloma and Lymphoma and stem cell transplantation. She has developed and works, in collaboration with the Spinal Orthopedic surgeons, the Myeloma Spinal Service at Royal National Orthopedic Hospital. She is currently the secretary of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT) Lymphoma Working Party (LWP) and chair of the EBMT LWP Waldentrom Macroglobulinemia subcommittee. She is a core member of the EORTC Hematology Group of Quality of life, and she is the Chief investigator of the update the Multiple Myeloma MM20 QOLQ module, the development of the EORTC CART and T cell engager QOL module and the development of the EORTC WM specific QOLQ.
