Dr. Masaki Iino obtained his M.D. from Yamanashi Medical University in 1991 and completed his Ph.D. in 1995 after conducting research at Mie University. He pursued postdoctoral training at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in the U.S. and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the National Chubu Hospital in 1997.
In 1998, he became Chief of Hematology at Yokkaichi Municipal Hospital, followed by key leadership roles at Nagoya Daini Red Cross Hospital and Yamanashi Prefectural Central Hospital. Since 2012, he has led major departments at the latter institution, including the Ambulatory Therapeutic Cancer Center and the First Division of Internal Medicine. In 2025, he was appointed Director of General Medicine (Infectious Diseases and Oncology) while continuing as Chief of Hematology.
Dr. Iino is active in medical education, serving as Clinical Professor at Yamanashi Prefectural University and previously at the University of Yamanashi. He is currently a board member of the Yamanashi Medical Society.
He holds a Japanese medical license and Ph.D., and is certified as a Supervising Physician and Specialist by the Japanese Societies of Internal Medicine and Hematology. He also holds board certifications in General Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation, and additional credentials in thrombosis, hemostasis, transfusion medicine, cell therapy, and cancer pharmacotherapy. He serves as a councilor of the Japanese Society of Hematology.
