Dr. Gonsalves is a Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in the Division of Hematology. His clinical practice focuses on managing patients with plasma cell disorders such as multiple myeloma, primary plasma cell leukemia, light chain amyloidosis, and other related clonal plasma cell disorders. His translational research focuses on understanding the cellular metabolism of malignant plasma cells in diseases such as multiple myeloma and their precursor states by employing various metabolomics-based techniques in an integrated fashion.
