Staff Hematologist at the Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) 2001 - present, founding member of the Grand River Regional Cancer Center. Full time clinical practice in General Malignant Hematology including myeloma, lymphoma, myeloproliferative disorders, myelodysplastic syndrome and bone marrow failure syndromes. Our program includes "Complex Malignant Hematology" - acute leukemia and other high acuity hematology diagnoses.
Currently serving in the role of Medical Director, WRHN Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Program, day +1 auto program since 2016 (over 180 patients) and our first solo autotransplant in July 2024 with 18 successful transplants to date.
Actively involved at Cancer Care Ontario/Ontario Health - Hematology Disease Site Group 1997 - 2023, Hematology Drug Advisory Committee 2014 - 2023, Acute Leukemia Advisory Committee, Transplantation and Cellular Therapy working group, autologous stem cell transplant/complex malignant hematology expansion committee. Previous participation in CCO Case-by-case review, and Cadth clinical advisor.
