Chantelle Hughes is a Senior Research Nurse at University College London Hospitals Foundation NHS trust in England. With over a decade of experience in haemato-oncology, she has spent six years as a research nurse and two years as a clinical nurse specialist, supporting patients receiving CAR T-cell therapy during its early adoption in the NHS. She currently serves as lead nurse for the EMMBRAce project. This project is a national quality improvement initiative focused on improving equity of access to bispecific antibodies and research opportunities for people with multiple myeloma.
Chantelle is passionate about addressing disparities in research participation. She serves on the steering group for a Blood Cancer UK initiative focused on developing practical strategies to improve research access for Black and Pakistani communities. She also contributes to the NIHR Nursing and Midwifery Inclusion Working Group, supporting the design and delivery of more inclusive research.
