Dr. Karun Neupane is a hematology-oncology fellow at Moffitt Cancer Center/University of South Florida and a graduate of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Born and raised in Nepal, Dr. Neupane graduated at the top of his medical school class before moving to the United States to pursue advanced training.
Dr. Neupane's research focuses on multiple myeloma, with a growing emphasis on the integration of artificial intelligence and multi-modal data to improve risk prediction and personalize therapy. He has published peer-reviewed manuscripts and first-author abstracts that explore various aspects of multiple myeloma, and was recently awarded the prestigious Junior Scientist Research Partnership Grant at Moffitt.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Neupane holds leadership roles within the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) IMG Community of Practice as Vice President of the Research and Publication Committee, and he serves as an ambassador for the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO). He is a former elected delegate of the Committee of Interns and Residents and actively mentors international medical graduates in research and career development.
