Dr. Nikhil Vojjala is a third-year Internal Medicine resident and Chief Resident for Academics and Research at Trinity Health Oakland, affiliated with Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his medical training at Osmania Medical College and his residency in India at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. He has a strong academic interest in multiple myeloma and cellular therapy and serves as Principal Investigator on a CIBMTR-approved study evaluating HLH-like toxicities following CAR-T therapy. He has also completed clinical electives at Jerome Lipper Myeloma Center of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. His research focuses on translational myeloma therapeutics, trial design, and real-world CAR-T outcomes. He aspires to pursue a career as an academic clinical trialist in malignant hematology. He is currently applying for the Hematology-Oncology fellowship this year.
