Lauren Campbell, PhD, Senior Clinical Scientist, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is a clinical immunologist with a specialist interest in laboratory diagnostics for plasma cell dyscrasias. She currently leads a translational research group focused on evaluating novel diagnostic technologies within the NHS setting, including mass spectrometry-based methods.
With over a decade of experience working in NHS diagnostic immunology laboratories her work has included the validation and implementation of new diagnostic pathways, service redesign, and cross-specialty collaborations with haematology and pathology services.
She holds a PhD supported by the NIHR. Alongside her research work, she serves as Training Officer for clinical and biomedical scientists and teaches on both undergraduate and postgraduate university programmes. She is committed to advancing diagnostic innovation in myeloma and ensuring new technologies are robustly evaluated for clinical use.
