Dr. Aimaz Afrough is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in multiple myeloma and other plasma cell disorders. Her clinical and research work focuses on improving patient outcomes through novel therapies, including CAR T-cell therapy, immunotherapy, and transplant-based approaches.
She completed her hematology/oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and advanced training in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Afrough leads and contributes to multiple research efforts aimed at improving the safety and effectiveness of cellular therapies for plasma cell disorders.
