Maria Jacqueline Nieto, MD. MSc is Assistant Professor of Medicine (Hematology and Medical Oncology) at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell where she specializes in treating patients with malignant hematological conditions. Dr Nieto has a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research from New York University. As a clinical investigator in malignant hematology with a focus on translational research involving multiple myeloma and AL Amyloidosis, Dr. Nieto evaluates rationale-based novel therapies for patients with MM and AL Amyloidosis.
Dr Nieto is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
Dr. Nieto is Principal Investigator (PI) of the clinical trials project within the Zuckerberg Cancer Institute in MM and AL Amyloidosis. She has served as PI or Study Chair of multiple investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored early- and late-phase clinical trials evaluating innovative approaches to the treatment of MM and AL Amyloidosis. Additionally, she holds multiple administrative roles at Zuckerberg Cancer Institute including, Chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee, member of the IRB and PRMC.
